Thomas J. Cappello

Thomas Cappello is a seasoned trial attorney.  Mr. Cappello received his law degree from New York Law School. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Hofstra University.  He has been with the firm for ten years.  He has handled hundreds of cases.  Mr. Cappello has experienced the other side of medical malpractice and personal injury work as well.  Prior to joining Mr. Sgarlato, Mr. Cappello worked for a large New York City defense firm handling labor law- construction accidents and bus accidents. He was an associate at a prominent defense firm that specialized in elevator and escalator accidents. He has extensive experience in medical malpractice and personal injury litigation from intake to trial and has seen hundreds of cases from beginning to conclusion. 

Mr. Cappello is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and participates in lobbying NY State Legislators on behalf of the victims of medical malpractice and serious accidents. He is also a member of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bar Association and the Richmond County Bar Association. He has also served as a volunteer arbitrator for the New York City Civil Court, Small Claims division.
